A canton with 8 communes at the base of the massif of the Alberes and of which Argelès-sur-Mer is the capital.
The localities have regrouped to offer you a number of itineraries to discover the culture, adventure sports and leisure activities (35 sites and walks, mountain biking, horse riding, etc.).
The coast is rich in craftwork, miscellaneous sites, sights and cultural sites (Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls, Cerbère…). The countryside is full of hiking trails where you can discover typical flora and fauna, and of course the splendid panoramic view which rewards the most motivated !
Tours are proposed to you, discover these charming villages, their magnificent Roman chapels and their ancestral craftsmanship ( the whip factory in Sorède, the glass factory in Palau-del-Vidre…).
